Baking in Fall

This fall I want to take an adventure in baking.
I have never tried making things from scratch
on my own and I think its time to get started.
Pixie Crust
These look like so much fun and I bet they taste amazing.
Here is the recipe:
3/4 cup whole or low-fat milk
1/4 cup sour cream
3 heaping teaspoons instant coffee
1 tbsp vanilla
3 cups cake flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons very finely ground coffee
2 teaspoons unsweetened natural cocoa powder
3/4 cup butter at room temperature
1 1/2 cup white sugar
4 eggs, yolks and whites separated


I need to get in the kitchen. Like today. Its a rainy gross day
so some baking could get me in a better mood.
Yay.
