Fisher Price of the Past

My all time favorite thing ever:

I stumbled on this Etsy, Toys of the Past, over at

Freckled Nest and I never realized how many Fischer Price

toys I had as a kid. I used to love this stuff!

Trip to the Dairy Farm :)

My friend Jennifer and I went on a day trip with her parents.
We went to Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana.
It was a blasty blast.
We sampled cheeses, ice cream, saw a cow birth,
and learned so much about cows and everything else.
These were some of the ladies who weren't pregnant or
milking at the time. They all looked surprisingly content.

And these are the calves that have been born recently.
Some who are male will be auctioned off to...
semenators haha. They'll be baby daddys.
And the females stay here and are raised with
the old pros to milk.

It was such a great trip and I am so glad I went.
Even if it was a three hour ride. Both ways.

Scrap Swap!!

Recently I participated in a swap at SewTara

and had the pleasure of being paired with
Anita from the lovely blog, Sew Vintage So Fun.
It was my first scrap swap and I had so much fun
doing it! I thought I'd share what I sent,
and what I got from Anita...
I sent these scraps, I took time to weigh them and everything
to make sure there was enough haha.
I also put a coffee cozie in there as a little extra piece of me.

And these came from Anita!
I was so excited when I opened this package
I could hardly stand it. I wish I'd sent a little more
extra stuff, but I will know for next time.

Then on top of everything else, she gave me this so cute little award!!And now here are seven little facts about myself to go along with it.
-I love cows. Like really love them. I recently went
to a dairy farm where I saw a baby cow born!
-My cat Wayne has a mustache.
I guess this isn't really about me but oh well.
-I have a tendency to start a lot of projects and finish few.
-Bees freak me out.
-I am watching The Office right now.
-I need to do laundry.
-I am addicted to Sims 3.
Haha. Ends...
